Senior Vice President, Cloud Platforms

Ashesh Badani is responsible for Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Red Hat Virtualization (RHV), Cloud Suite, and Red Hat Cloud Infrastructure Suite (RHCI). Previously, he oversaw product line management and marketing for Red Hat's JBoss Enterprise Middleware portfolio.

Prior to joining Red Hat, Ashesh served as director of product management and product marketing of integration and application platform products at Sun Microsystems and has over 15 years of experience in the technology and finance industry in established and emerging companies.

Regional Vice President and General Manager at Red Hat Australia and New Zealand

Max McLaren oversees Red Hat's business in Australia and New Zealand. Max has had extensive experience in the IT industry over the last 20 years. Prior to his appointment, Max spent the last 12 years with IBM and Lotus, most recently as Regional Manager, Small Medium Business, for IBM Software in Australia and New Zealand. Previously, as Regional Manager, Lotus he ran Lotus sales and marketing for IBM Software in Australia and New Zealand, following a similar role for Lotus, South East Asia and South Asia, based in Singapore. This followed his role as Managing Director of Lotus, South Africa.

Before that, he held a number of sales and sales management roles at Lotus in the UK. Prior to joining Lotus, Max held sales roles in the UK at AT&T, and Centre-File after starting his sales career with the advent of the PC revolution with IBM PC retailers, Office Efficiency Machines Ltd. and Entre Computer Centre, in London.

Max grew up and was schooled in Zimbabwe, and has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Natal. He relaxes on the golf course, and drinking fine wine!

Senior Principal Product Manager, Cloud Infrastructure

Hwee Ming is a product manager with Red Hat focusing on Cloud Infrastructure. She is based in Singapore and supports the APAC region. She works with customers across the region helping them leverage Red Hat Technology to build hybrid cloud solution across physical, virtualization and containerization platform.

She has also been working with service providers, adopting these technologies for Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and has worked on multiple NFV proof-of-concept and deployments across the regions. She has also been helping network equipment provider in APAC with the certification of their VNF on Red Hat Openstack platform as well as the supporting them with the joint solution with Red Hat. Hwee Ming has also been working with managed cloud provider to build solution based on Red Hat’s cloud infrastructure technologist.

Before Red Hat, Hwee Ming worked with HP and she has over 15 year experience in the industry working on OSS, Next Generation Intelligent networks, Converged networks, NOC consolidation and regulatory compliance. She has also work with customer in other sectors focusing on IT transformation and data centre consolidation based on ITIL processes.

Director of Portfolio Management, APAC Office of Technology

Brendan is a technology industry veteran, having worked across continents (US and Asia) and brings rich business leadership and marketing experience. As Red Hat’s APAC Director of Portfolio Management in the APAC Office of Technology, he is responsible for defining the go-to-market strategy and launching Red Hat’s diverse technology portfolio in the Asia Pacific region.

Brendan joined Red Hat in Singapore in October 2016, as part of the Red Hat APAC organization, with responsibility for technologies such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Virtualisation, and Red Hat OpenStack. Prior to Red Hat, Brendan worked in IBM for close to 28 years and held several cross functional and strategic roles. Starting as a systems engineer in New Zealand, and later progressing into worldwide leadership roles in IBM System x Marketing organisation in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA, as the worldwide Director of Marketing, and Product Line Manager in the IBM Taiwan Development organisation in Taipei.

As a technologist, Brendan is passionate about the role open source plays in enterprise IT transformation by providing the needed agility to modernize and innovate faster. When not in Singapore, he is often seen speaking at various technology events about: IT transformation, open source innovation, automation, open hybrid cloud etc.

MBU Manager, APAC Office Of Technology

At Red Hat APAC, Nicholas is the Technical Product Manager for Management Solutions in the APAC Office of Technology. He spends much of his time engaging his audiences in both the enterprise and community space on Red Hat Management and Automation capabilities.Nicholas regularly conducts automation workshops and enjoys sharing experiences from his role at Community Meetups and events around APAC region including GovWare, Cloud Expo Asia, Security Exchange, Ansible Automates etc. His previous tenure includes IBM, RSA, EMC, F5 Networks, Imperva.

Associate Principal Hybrid Cloud Solutions

Bosco Sachanandani is a Solution Architect and a subject matter expert in Red Hat’s Cloud Platforms and Automation portfolio. In this role, Bosco helps enterprise customers in Australia and New Zealand adopt hybrid cloud architectures and automation.

Bosco has close to 20 years' experience in the IT and Telecommunications industry. He joined Red Hat in 2017 and prior to that, Bosco held the role of Principal Architect at both Ericsson and Vodafone Group. With a strong background in telecommunications and networking, Bosco has led a number of 3G and 4G rollouts in Asia-Pacific and Japan. Since 2016, Bosco has been architecting hybrid cloud platforms that use both private and public cloud platforms.

Bosco holds a Bachelor of Information Technology and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of South Australia.

Red Hat FSI Solution Architect

Bryon Baker is a Senior Solution Architect for Red Hat Asia Pacific.

Bryon has over 30 years of experience in the IT industry. Having joined Red Hat in January 2019, Bryon has previously held positions at National Australia Bank, Rational Software (USA), Ivar Jacobson International, and Siemens Research (UK).

Bryon’s diverse background includes a mix of embedded systems, electronics, systems engineering, enterprise architecture, and product management. He is passionate about systems architecture and hacking out code with his new favourite language Go.

Career highlights include leading design and construction of a pioneering radio-communication system for State Rail NSW, his contributions to the Unified Modelling Language, and defining and influencing enterprise IT strategy at National Australia Bank.

Bryon holds a Bachelor of Science from Deakin University with majors in Mathematics and Computer Science.

Account Solution Architect, Federal Government

Johan has 8 years’ experience working with Government organisations, helping define and prove-out technology solutions that solve their business problems. Prior to the government sector, Johannes held a role in providing innovative ways to integrate and automate across business processes for the Banking, Finance, FMCG and retail industry.

He is a firm believer that Open Source is the way for Government to scale, accelerate service delivery and provide value for money for citizens. He believes that technology is there to serve the end-user and that projects should always tie back to a tangible outcome. Johan is an Architect who’s not afraid of getting his hands dirty by running multiple container projects at the same time. In his free time Johan loves to try his hand at photography.

Associate Principal Solution Architect

Tom Corcoran is an Associate Principal Solution Architect at Red Hat.

Tom's areas of specialty are 3scale API Management and Openshift. Having held this role with Red Hat for the past five years, Tom has managed projects throughout Europe, the US, and ANZ.

Tom has over 15 years experience in Java Development in a variety of industry sectors and geos, which ensures a deep technical expertise across Red Hat’s products and of APIs. His development experience lends a sharp focus to the solution architect role and he brings a passion for delivering outstanding technical and business value to Red Hat's customers' projects and products.

Developer Advocate

Marc Hildenbrand is a Developer Advocate for Red Hat.

A lifelong software engineer, Marc has over 20 years of experience in software development. He started his career as an enterprise developer consultant at Sapient (now SapientNitro) after receiving his Sc.B. in Computer Science with honours from Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island in the United States.

During the course of his varied career he has been involved in the development of various exciting projects from large scale video games (such as Lord of the Rings Online) to 7-Eleven’s Fuel Ap, and the middleware that supports Public Transport Victoria’s mobile app which is used by thousands of commuters per day.

Prior to joining Red Hat, Marc was the global CTO of the award winning digital consulting firm Tigerspike and was instrumental in setting their technical growth strategy by cultivating partnerships with public cloud providers such as AWS. Having been both involved in product and services companies, he has a broad perspective on how development gets done, how development teams are organised, and what works (and does not work) when it comes to software projects.

Although generally a private person, Marc has a counterintuitive flair for the dramatic having briefly been part of ImproMelbourne’s rookie troupe.
